Thailand’s Scan Inter to Expand CNG Fuel Business

Scan Inter PCL,  Bangkok-based provider of integrated CNG-related services, has debuted on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in a bid to expand its compressed natural gas activities. Its revised business strategy commitment to growing Thailand’s natural gas for transportation sector.

The company has secured a long-term contract under which it is engaged to provide to PTT Public Company Limited CNG-related solutions ranging from transport of natural gas from PTT’s pipelines to customers’ sites, to operation of mother stations where gas is compressed for PTT, and of gas supply chain and logistics businesses. It also transports natural gas to industrial plants and designs, installs and maintains equipment for CNG service stations and CNG-related equipment.

Scan Inter’s all-inclusive CNG business also takes in selling of natural gas vehicles.

Acknowledging the increased demand for natural gas, Mr. Thanchart Kitpipit, Managing Director of SCN, said “We seek to become a top innovator in the Asia-Pacific energy market. Therefore, we are committed to conducting rigorous research and development projects on CNG (especially natural gas for vehicles). We also produce and assemble gas compressors.”
