Scania France supplies natural gas buses to Paris transport operator
In early March, Scania France was selected to provide CNG vehicles to RATP Group (RĂ©gie Autonome des
Transports Parisiens). The contract involves the delivery of Scania Citywide LF 18 articulated buses over
a period of four years. They feature four doors and the latest accessibility technologies.
RATP launched a tender on the supply of natural gas buses to replace part of its Paris-based fleet.
Among the different consulted manufacturers, Scania France was chosen on one of two lots constituting
the tender to deliver CNG bus to the authority over four years.
The transit authority currently has about 220 Scania Omnicity buses delivered between 2007 and 2010.
Scania is proud to supply again the RATP and the authority has chosen to renew its confidence.
This confirms Scania position in the alternative fuel industry. Sustainable transportation minimizes
environmental impact and, based on this conviction, Scania continues to launch new services aimed at
helping to reduce the carbon and environmental impact of intermodal transport systems.
