Spanish Region of Murcia has the largest fleet of LNG trucks in Europe

ESP Solutions, located in the Industrial Estate Los Torraos de Ceutí, in the Autonomous Community of Murcia, has acquired 300 IVECO LNG vehicles. This will be the largest truck fleet powered by this fuel in all of Europe. The launch was attended by the President of the Region of Murcia Fernando López Miras.
“The regional transport sector is committed to the environment, it is one of the engines of our development and is demonstrating it with initiatives like this one,” said López Miras. “It is a commitment to reinforcing the presence of freight transport, increasing the competitiveness of companies, acquiring a greater weight in the regional economy and taking a decisive step in improving people’s quality of life.”
LNG is one of the best solutions for transportation, thanks to its efficiency and low polluting profile, essential aspects to promote the transition towards more sustainable mobility. Compared to diesel, it reduces NOx emissions by 96% and fine particulate matter by 99%.
During his visit to the facilities, the official recalled the “fundamental role” of the transport sector during the coronavirus pandemic, “carrying supplies throughout Europe and ensuring that there were no shortages.”
The 300 IVECO S-WAY LNG trucks were delivered to ESP Solutions by IVECO’s Murcia-based dealer Ginés Huertas.
