Argentina: IVECO trains drivers in CNG truck technology

IVECO Argentina carried out in Rio Negro a new training for drivers of NRG Argentina S.A, a company that acquired 100 IVECO Stralis CNG trucks and which positioned itself as the first in the continent to adopt a fleet of this size.

The training was conducted by the brand’s Top Driver, who was assisted by technical personnel from the local dealer, Fiorasi, and focused on the operation of the CNG vehicles recently acquired by the company. During the day, topics related to the technical configurations of the trucks and their operation were discussed, followed by a test drive that was developed at the end of the training.

“The courses bring the parts closer together and allow the customer to feel accompanied by the brand. In addition, they are very valuable for us because they serve to obtain feedback regarding the behavior and performance of the trucks, especially considering the new technology these CNG vehicles have,” said Christian Schröder, Manager of After-Sales Services at IVECO in Argentina.

The vehicles acquired by NRG Argentina have the highest technology, design and equipment superior to their diesel counterparts with a benefit of up to 50% in the reduction of fuel costs. They have an AS440S46T/P 6×2 configuration and emissions that offer extraordinary reductions of up to 90% of nitrogen dioxide, 99% of particles and up to 95% of carbon dioxide when biomethane is used as fuel. In addition, they have a PIEK Certification that guarantees noise levels below 71dB, AEBS brake technology, hydraulic retarder, ESP and air suspension on the rear axle, prepared for scalability.
