Spain: Gas Natural Fenosa plans to implement CNG in Ciudad Real
The mayor of Ciudad Real, Pilar Zamora, held a working meeting in city council with the CEO of Gas
Natural Castilla-La Mancha, Miguel Martin de Pinto, and the delegate of the company in Ciudad Real,
Mercedes Orozco. The gas distributor and the city addressed issues such as the implementation of
natural gas for vehicles and energy efficiency in public buildings.
The meeting served to establish new channels of communication and close contacts to advance the
implementation of natural gas service in Ciudad Real. The parts talked about the introduction of natural
gas for vehicles in the capital, a service that can benefit urban and intercity buses, carriers and private
vehicles, and which will contribute significantly to improve the urban environment, a priority for the
government of Ciudad Real.
The subsidiary of Gas Natural Fenosa has a distribution network of over 965 kilometers and more than
61,500 supply points in 19 locations of Ciudad Real. Regionally, it manages nearly 237,400 points in 75
municipalities and a distribution network of over 3,700 kilometers.
Currently, Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha gives domestic and commercial supply to Alcázar de San Juan,
Argamasilla de Alba, Argamasilla de Calatrava, Bolaños de Calatrava, Campo de Criptana, Carrión de
Calatrava, Ciudad Real, Daimiel, La Solana, Manzanares, Malagón, Membrilla, Miguelturra, Puertollano,
Santa Cruz de Mudela, Socuéllamos, Tomelloso, Torralba de Calatrava and Valdepeñas.
