Registration of light and heavy natural gas vehicles triples in Spain
The registrations of light, commercial vehicles, trucks and buses powered by natural gas have tripled in November with respect to the same month of 2018. In total, 871 natural gas vehicles have been registered in Spain in the latter month. It is the eighth consecutive month of growth in the registration of NGVs, which in total have increased by 38% so far this year.
The continued increase in registrations of light commercial NGVs to stands out, increasing 94% so far this year. This trend can also be seen in other types of vehicles. Car registrations increased by 38%, truck registrations by 22% and bus registrations by 24%, compared to the same period of 2018.
The vehicle fleet has grown 56% compared to 2018 and stands at 22,158 units. Currently, there are 4,123 trucks, 3,000 buses, 11,507 cars and 3,529 light commercial vehicles powered by natural gas are in Spain.
