Oil companies issue notice for retail outlets

Three major oil companies have issued notifications seeking applications for retail outlets for petrol and diesel in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the media on Sunday, GKKV Uma Shankar, state level coordinator for oil industry in Andhra Pradesh, said applications are available online. Indian Oil Corporation has issued notifications for 1,291 outlets, followed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (813) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (710) across 13 districts in the state. He said that the entrepreneurs can search for the locations at www.petrolpumpdealerchayan.in. He further added that the three oil companies together would select the applicants on draw of lots in the presence of the applicants. He also added that application process was simplified and the number of documents to be presented were also withdrawn unless the applicant was selected.
