HYUNDAI HEAVY DELIVERS NEW LNGC TO CAPITAL GAS

Greek shipping firm Capital Gas Ship Management has taken delivery of a new LNG carrier built by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries, it said in a June 15 statement.

The carrier, Aristarchos, with a cargo capacity of 174,000 m3 is equipped with the latest available technologies, including an air lubrication system and increased filling limits, Capital Gas said.

It is the third of seven ships to be delivered by Hyundai Heavy between 2020-2023. The vessel has been chartered to Cheniere for a period of up to six years.

Capital Gas currently manages a fleet of seven LNG carriers with a total carrying capacity of approximately 1.2mn m3.
