CNG Shortage in Pune: Long Queues and Commute Woes Disrupt Daily Routines

Pune: Maharashtra Natural Gas Ltd. (MNGL), a joint venture between GAIL and BPCL, has announced a reduction in gas supplies in Pune due to a technical issue in the city’s geographical area.

MNGL has assured customers that the supply of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) for domestic households will remain fully maintained, ensuring that the everyday needs of households using PNG are not impacted.

However, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) supplies will be reduced to 70% of their usual capacity. This reduction could affect the availability of CNG in certain areas, including Wakad, Kasarwadi, Pimpri, Nigdi, Hinjewadi, Chakan, Hadapsar, Swargate, Kondhwa, Warje, and Shivajinagar.

In addition, the PNG supply to industries will also be curtailed, potentially impacting industrial operations that rely on natural gas in the affected areas.

MNGL has taken this step to address the technical issue efficiently and is committed to minimizing the inconvenience caused to its customers. The company is working diligently to restore full services as soon as possible.
