Venezuela: 21 clean fuel buses delivered to Miranda State service
The public transportation vehicles were awarded by the National Urban Transport Foundation (Fontur) to organizations providing this service in the municipalities of Plaza and Zamora (Guarenas and Guatire) in this state of Venezuela.
The buses were awarded to Asociación Civil de Conductores El Cercado and A.C.C. Santa Inés, A.C.C Aconcagua, which operate in Plaza, and Cooperativa Guarenas-Guatire, which operates in Zamora and covers Mampote-Carretera, Vieja-Los Naranjos and Guarenas-Guatire routes. The fleet deployment occurs as part of the Financing Transport Mission program.
“We are very happy because thanks to the Transport Mission we can offer a better quality of life to citizens who daily use public transportation to get to their destinations,” said Napoleon Malavé, one of the drivers benefited from the program.
Each minibus has 25 seats and has been equipped to run on natural gas. The vehicles manufactured by the Chinese company Yutong feature air conditioning system, television, camera and additional devices.
“There are 40,000-50,000 passengers using the mass transit daily in Guarenas’s communities that require long distances. These vehicles will cover approximately 20 kilometers a day,” said Gabriel Bastardo, driver who lives in that city.
