UTA now operates the largest LNG refueling network in Europe
UTA is cooperating with the LNG provider LIQUIND 24/7. Eight LNG filling stations of the Berlin-based station operator have been added to the UTA acceptance network in Germany: in Duisburg, Sülzetal, Crailsheim, Strullendorf, Mannheim, Göttingen, Wustermark and Schüttorf. In the course of the year, further locations of the new partner are to be connected to UTA’s supply network.
With the current expansion, UTA’s LNG refueling infrastructure grows to almost 170 service stations at strategically important transport hubs in 10 countries, making it currently the largest LNG network in Europe.
Today, UTA cooperates with more than 70 partners in the field of LNG, together with whom it offers mandatory training on safety during the refueling of this fuel. UTA’s acceptance network currently encompasses a total of 67,000 stations across Europe.
“By expanding our LNG supply network, we are responding to the growing demand for alternative fuels,” said Carsten Bettermann, CEO of UTA. “In this way, we offer our customers a greater guarantee of supply on their routes throughout Europe. At the same time, we provide transportation companies with an incentive to switch to greener fuels.”
LIQUIND 24/7 currently has 13 LNG stations in Germany, with a further 12 that are in the planning phase. “We are pleased to be working with a renowned partner like UTA to further expand our LNG offering,” commented Philip Maximilian Braunschweig, LIQUIND’s Director of Distribution.
