U.S. DOE Order Granting Authority to American LNG for ISO Container Exports

On August 24th, 2016 the U.S. Department of Energy issued an order granting American LNG authority to export LNG to nations with and without free trade agreements with the U.S. The LNG is authorized to be exported in domestically produced LNG in approved ISO containers loaded at the Hialeah Facility in Florida.  The LNG can be exported by ocean-going vessels in a volume up to the equivalent of 6.04 Bcf of natural gas pursuant to transactions that have terms of no longer than two years.  The volume of LNG authorized for export in the order when combined with the volume of LNG approved for export in a prior order will not exceed a total of 3.02 Bcf during any consecutive 12-month period.

American LNG is authorized to export this LNG on its own behalf and as agent for other entities who hold title to the natural gas at the time of export.  This authorization is effective for a two-year term beginning on August 24, 2016, and extending until August 23,2018.
