Trial commercial run of first CNG Highway, Delhi-Jaipur CNG Highway commences
Clean fuel in the form of CNG is now available for vehicles plying from Delhi to Jaipur Highway
through the CNG Station at Neemrana and Kukas (near Jaipur) after Rajasthan State Gas Limited
(RSGL) started commercial sales on trial run from 26th June through its Mega CNG station at
Neemrana, the company said in a statement.
Ravi Agarwal, Managing Director, RSGL informed that Delhi-Jaipur is the first CNG Highway and
subsequently Jaipur-Kota and Kota-Baran- Dewas-Mumbai would be taken up. RSGL has signed Gas
Sales Agreement with the prospective customers at Ghilot which has a high demand of gas
requirement. RSGL believes in "Think Positive, think possible, think options and think solutions."
RSGL is an example of synergy between GAIL (India) Limited and Government of Rajasthan. The MoU
was signed by RSGL with Govt of Rajasthan in the presence of Chief Minister and Petroleum Minister
on 9th September, 2015 for investment of Rs. 2700 Crore in next 3 years for providing clean energy
solution for Rajasthan.
Deepak Upreti, Principal Secretary, Mines & Petroleum, Rajasthan took over the charge of RSGL as
Chairman in the month of October 2015 and has assigned priority to the clean energy for fuelling
industrialization in the State of Rajasthan and in meeting socio economic aspirations of the people,
the company statement added.
Under his leadership, RSGL has further strengthened the alliances with GAIL (India) Limited, RSMML,
RIICO & GAIL Gas Limited through collaborative efforts which has resulted in securing affordable gas,
converging the issues of business transfer assets of CGD Kota, acquisition of plot at strategic
location, tie-up with the customers for systematic planning & execution of Ceramic Zone at Ghilot,
the RSGL statement said.
RSGL is expected to start its business activities at Kota in the month of July this year for speedy
execution of gas connections and setting up feeder stations for Kota-Jaipur and Kota- Baran- Dewas-
Mumbai highway besides meeting the clean energy requirement in adjoining area of Kota.
RSGL has also entered into an MoU with IOC on 31st May, 2016 for setting up CNG facilities at IOC
Retail Outlets. The joint exercise of RSGL & IOCL has identified 2 outlets on Jaipur-Delhi highway and
similar exercise between Kota-Jaipur Highway has also been completed, RSGL said in the statement.
