Scania France delivers first Euro 6 gas truck to Coca-Cola distributor

GTA (Gestion Transport Affrètement), an association of transportation companies, has recently received this vehicle, P 340 LA4X2MNA model, which offers 340 hp and runs on CNG or biomethane. Delivered by Scannord, Scania’s dealership, the truck aims to ensure accessibility to urban areas and fully demonstrates the environmentally responsible approach of GTA that is improving its skills to better service Coca-Cola.

“The acquisition is part of our sustainable development and proves our strong ambition to minimize the carbon footprint of the GTA’s operations. We also want to offer the best solutions for each customer in order to meet their expectations regarding operational, economic and environmental performance,” said Luc Degrave, GTA manager. “The transition to new energy sources such as natural gas is a response to this target and also a bet on the future.”

The Scania Euro 6 P 340 LA4X2MNA truck features a gas engine offering 340 hp, CNG capacity of 132 kg, Allison 6-speed automatic transmission with hydraulic retarder, and single-reduction rear axle R780 with differential lock.

“We are pleased to respond to GTA’s environmental concerns. Obviously Scania gas solution has many advantages including an engine developing high torque and low revs. We are proud to support GTA in its green commitment,” commented Christophe Bastenaire, Commercial Director at Scannord.
