Renault Trucks exhibits CNG lineup
Renault Trucks will be present at the International Transport and Logistics Week trade show (SITL), which will be held at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris from March 14 to 16, 2017. The company will be showcasing its offer in natural gas vehicles on the stand of the French Natural Gas Vehicles Association (AFGNV).
A 19-ton D Wide CNG with horizontal exhaust – painted in the colors of the transport company STAF – will be among the displayed vehicles. This truck is fitted with a new generation Euro 6 Step C-compliant 8.9-liter engine with horizontal exhaust. The 6×2 rigid truck version boasts a rear steering axle offering fantastic maneuverability, making it ideal for deliveries in an urban environment.
Renault Trucks knows that the greatest need for diverse energies is in built-up areas. In response, it has added a horizontal exhaust model to its natural gas powered range. The engine emits virtually no particulate matter, smoke or odors without using AdBlue®. Moreover, its driving range on urban journeys is on a par with that offered by its diesel counterpart. The Renault Trucks D Wide CNG is designed to run on both natural gas and biomethane.
The Renault Trucks D Wide CNG can be fitted with either a vertical or horizontal exhaust according to requirements. It comes in two versions: a 19-ton 4×2 rigid truck and a 26-ton 6×2 rigid truck. Its Euro 6 compliant NGT9 6-cylinder engine displaces 8.9 liters and delivers a power output of 320 hp. Its automatic gearbox is perfectly adapted to the torque of a CNG engine. The Renault Trucks network is equipped to perform servicing and maintenance operations on these vehicles anywhere in Europe.
