OrangeGas and Total unveil first biomethane station in The Hague

The refueling station is the first 100% green CNG filling station in The Hague and also the first joint project of OrangeGas and Total Netherlands. The Total De Uithof facility is located at the Lozerlaan 4 and will mainly service Connexxion taxis.

“Connexxion has extensive experience in driving on natural gas. It also operates regional taxis and school transport in this region. Although The Hague already had capacity to refuel with natural gas, it lacked a 100% green natural gas filling station. In cooperation with Total, we made it happen. So Connexxion can now perform with a cleaner fuel,” said Marcel Borger, director of OrangeGas.

The new OrangeGas site, which will be public and accessible 24/7, will be one of the 145 filling stations in the country, which service around 11,000 NGVs.

“This addition to our service is an important step in expanding our product range”, said Vincent Leroy, Director Retail. “‘We have chosen to cooperate, because we would like to give meaning to our mission of Positive Energy. With the opening of this first green gas delivery point, we endorse the view that transport in our eyes is even more sustainable.”
