LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Onterris (NYSE:ONT) announced Monday it secured a contract worth more than C$9 million to provide environmental services during construction of a C$3 billion natural gas transmission project in Canada.
The contract, awarded by a Canadian energy infrastructure company, is expected to generate revenue through the end of 2027, according to a press release statement. The transmission project is designed to deliver more than 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day once operational.
Onterris previously worked on the project’s front-end engineering design and detailed engineering phases, providing planning, permitting support, field investigations and regulatory compliance services. The new contract extends the company’s involvement into the construction phase and interim reclamation activities.
The environmental services will cover pre-construction, construction and final clean-up activities. The scope includes wildlife protection, aquatic habitat monitoring, nesting bird and migratory bird compliance, amphibian breeding wetland and relocation programs, wetland delineation and protection, vegetation management, soils monitoring, contamination response, invasive species management, biosecurity protocols, regulatory compliance and GIS-enabled spatial data management.

The company will deploy enterprise GIS technologies, cloud-based field data collection, interactive dashboards, automated reporting workflows and real-time spatial data management for the project. These tools are intended to provide environmental data to clients and project stakeholders during construction.
