Noida hosts 1st edition of gas summit

Noida: The Centre is focusing on a gas-based economy and has seta target to raise the share of natural gas in India’s energy mix to 15% from6.3% by 2030, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh said on Thursday.

Singh, who inaugurated the first edition of the Gas India Expo (GIE) and World Gas Summit (WGS) 2023 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, said the government was also developing a natural gas infrastructure in the country to implement a ‘One Nation, One Gas Grid’.

Organised by Indian Trade Fair Academy (ITFA), the Indian Exhibition Services (IES) in association with the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) and supported by the Ministry of MSME, the three-day expo which will end on July 8.
