NGV Global Belgian Plant Specialist Delivers Greenery with CNG Vehicles

Aquarella BV, specialist in green areas for businesses and organizations, will now deliver office and display plants in Belgium and Luxembourg with natural gas vehicles (NGVs). It has acquired three Opel Combo Compressed Natural Gas vans for ‘greener’ deliveries and plans to acquire another six NGVs in 2016. Aquarella, which stands for ‘nature at work’, currently operates a fleet of 15 vehicles in Belgium. 

The 88 kW/120 hp engine needs 4.9 kilograms of natural gas per 100 kilometers, which is equivalent to 134 grams of CO2 per kilometer. It is equipped with a 22 liter gasoline tank and CNG cylinders with a total volume of 95 liters or 130 liters (the latter only available in long wheelbase). This results in maximum ranges of up to 625 and 750 kilometers respectively.

The “Cargo” version can carry a payload of up to 1 ton (including driver), with volume up to 4.6m3.

Aquarella’s future plans include switching its entire fleet to CNG operations.
