Midland Fire Department receives training on natural gas

The Midland Fire Department got some training on natural gas on Wednesday.The training was put on by Freedom CNG to prepare firefighters for emergencies involving natural gas vehicles.There are close to 10,000 natural gas vehicles on Texas highways and Midland alone has three natural gas stations so this training was very important to firefighters in the area.First responders also got to learn about Texas 811, “Call Before You Dig.”With these types of training and thanks to these sessions, the natural gas industry and Midland Fire Department are more confident when it comes to natural gas vehicle fires.
