GAZ Group delivers over 100 CNG buses in eastern Russia

GAZ Group, a company of Basic Element, one of the major diversified industrial groups in Russia, has supplied 105 natural gas buses manufactured by Pavlovo Bus Plant (PAZ). The PAZ-32054 vehicles will be used by municipal authorities of Voronezh Region and will service socially important routes of the region.

This small class CNG bus is built on the platform of the base model made by Pavlovo Bus Plant PAZ-32054 and is designed for suburban transportation. It is equipped with a Euro 4 CNG engine. The natural gas is filled into 5 cylinders with 50L capacity each, which ensures the range of up to 350 km. The cylinders are located under the bus underbody.

GAZ Group is the major Russian manufacturer of buses of all classes and applications fueled by compressed natural gas. The company was the first of the Russian manufacturers to develop and launch into serial production CNG buses.

These buses are the most prospective direction in the development of public transport. The vehicles have an excellent payback period thanks to the low price for the fuel and reduction of operational costs. In 2014, around 400 CNG buses were delivered to Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Izhevsk, etc.
