Come September, CNG mini buses to transport pupil in port of spain

COME the new school term in September, three new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) mini buses will be on the nation’s roads transporting pupils to and from school.
The Private School Transport Association of Trinidad and Tobago (PSTATT) purchased the Jin Bei buses from ANSA Motors, via an incentive arrangement with the NGC CNG Company.
In November last year NGC CNG signed a memorandum of understanding with the association, whereby the first 40 PSTATT members to purchase new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) CNG vehicles will received $15,000 in fuel for a two-year period, while drivers who convert their existing vehicles to CNG will receive $7,500 in fuel for two years.
NGC CNG president Curtis Mohammed said yesterday the association purchased two new CNG mini buses and one diesel mini bus which will be converted to CNG.
He said the fuel incentives will be administered on a fuel card.
