CNG Supply Resumed for 12 Hours in Sindh

The supply of CNG has been resumed in Karachi and in other parts of Sindh at 7 am and will be supplied till 7 pm.

The reason for the halt in the CNG supply is the low gas pressure and a spike in domestic demand due to cold weather prevailing in different parts of the country. The halt of CNG is causing problems for the citizens as many of them rely a lot on public transports for their daily travelling. Recently, the All Karachi Transport Ittehad (AKTI) and All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association (APCNGA) have announced on 11th January to start a protest outside the Sui gas office in Karachi to overcome the problem of the non-supply of CNG.

Irshad Bukhari AKTI president said that gas produced in Sindh fulfils energy needs of 70% of the country and thus the halt is affecting the businesses all over Sindh.

He further added that seventy per cent of the population depends upon the public transports and the close down is now affecting their businesses.
