CNG Stations, Piped Gas Supply In Guwahati Soon, Says OIL

 Lauding OIL, Mishra said that the company has benefited to a great extent from the rising oil prices and higher production.

Guwahati: Oil India Limited (OIL) will soon supply gas through pipelines, said the company’s Chief Sushil Chandra Mishra. According to him, the project will be implemented by OIL across the city in different phases. While speaking during a press conference, on February 28, Mishra informed that the Assam Gas Company Ltd (AGCL), OIL and Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) have collaboratively undertaken the project. “By June, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will be installed in Guwahati. However, at least 5-6 years will be required to cover the entire Guwahati,” he added. He further asserted that Sadiya will become the deepest oil well in the history of OIL. Lauding OIL, Mishra said that the company has benefited to a great extent from the rising oil prices and higher production. Further, commenting on the company’s growth, he said that OIL has witnessed a growth of 152 crore in the first nine months of the current financial year of 2021-22.
