CNG stations in Gurgaon to be shut for maintenance on Saturday and Sunday
The supply of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) will be affected on Saturday and Sunday in the city because of maintenance work on the pipeline network of Gail India Limited.
A statement from the Haryana City Gas Distribution Limited, the sole gas supplier in the city, said this would be “planned shutdown” from 3pm on February 25 till 9am on Sunday, February 26.
Owing to the shutdown, the supply of CNG, commercial and industrial supply of PNG will not be available during that period, a statement said.
“The CNG (automotive segment) and PNG (commercial & industrial segment only) customers are requested to make alternative arrangements during the period and use the available fuel wisely. The gas supply to PNG (domestic household) customers shall remain unaffected during this period,” Rahul Chopra, chief executive officer, Haryana City Gas Distribution Ltd, said.
Gurgaon has 14 CNG stations which are located in Sector 12, 14, 15, 22, 29, 31, 44, two in 52, 53, 57, 62, 86, and 89 with capacity of 2.5 lakh kgs against demand of 2 lakh kgs.
