Catalan gardening business adds six CNG-fueled crane trucks to its fleet

As part of its fleet renewal plan, Jarfels has added a total of six CNG vehicles for the collection of plant debris from the Barri Net service. The six latest generation Palfinger PK 9.501 SLD 5 hydraulic cranes are assembled on IVECO natural gas trucks and a tipping box that allows loading up to 18m3 of plant debris.

For more than 20 years Jarfels has specialized in gardening works, maintenance of green spaces and landscape restoration for the city of Castelldefels. The services offered by the company include: maintenance and improvement of green spaces, conservation work and maintenance of public trees, maintenance of the green of buildings, strip work, and elimination of weeds in public roads, among others.

The new vehicles are designed to meet the specific needs caused by the changes that the service has undergone over the years. They have greater load capacity and tool transport, are more comfortable for workers and feature the latest technologies to ensure efficient service and reduce pollution. For refueling, Jarfels uses the municipal CNG supply facilities in Castelldefels.

The new Palfinger PK 9.501 SLD 5 cranes mounted on the IVECO ML160E21K CNG with tipping box are specially configured for Jarfels, with a lifting of 9.0mt and a connecting rod system on an articulated arm. Its maximum reach with a hydraulic extension (A) is 7.6m, it has a turning angle of 400°, two manual extendable support jacks up to 3.2m wide and oscillating plates of 10°.
