Argentina: Foton announces new Auman liquefied natural gas truck

Foton Trucks has imported and commercialized seven units of the Auman EST LNG truck, and this year plans to officially launch this model in Argentina. The FotonAuman EST’s WP13NG430E52 engine offers high performance, reduced weight, minimal operating costs, and all ofWeichai’s reliability, durability and technology. The Auman truck, which has a load capacity of up to 49 tons, is equipped with fuel tanks that store 900 liters of gas in liquid form, allowing a range of 1,000 kilometers and making it ideal for long-distance applications.

Featured equipment includes the ABS + ASR brake system, central door locking, electric window lifters, adjustable steering wheel, driver’s seat with air suspension, electrically folding cab with air suspension, electric mirrors, radio with MP3 and USB port and air conditioning.

“We will soon present the Auman line of heavy trucks that we have brought together with an oil company. The trucks have a loading capacity of 900 liters of natural gas. We have already sold seven units, which will be working in Mendoza transporting LNG for the Andreu company, and soon new LNG units will be installed in the VacaMuerta area so that these trucks can work with great autonomy,” said Marcelo Mauro, Commercial & Product Manager of Foton Trucks, to the magazine Camiones y Buses during the Expoagro fair.
