200th CNG Station for Mumbai

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), a Mumbai-based joint venture between GAIL (India) Ltd and BGAPH (a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell Plc) has inaugurated its 200th Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling station in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The station is located in the city of Badlapur, in the Thane district of MMR.

In the MMR, reports The Times of India, MGL refuels more than a half million natural gas vehicles and scooters from more than 1,100 dispensing points. The average distance between CNG stations across MMR is 1.52 kms in Western suburbs, 1.47 kms in Central suburbs, 3.2 kms in Navi Mumbai and 4.5 kms in Kalyan, Dombivali, Ambernath and Badlapur.
