Gas Natural Fenosa opens its fourth CNG fueling station in Argentina

Last week, in the town of Jáuregui, city of Lujan (Buenos Aires Province), the compressed natural gas filling facility was officially inaugurated by the multinational energy company, which already owns three other CNG stations in the country, located in General Rodriguez, Crovara and Cardales. The new installation entailed an investment of 4 million pesos (approximately USD 470,000).

The mayor of Lujan, Oscar Luciani, was joined by Sergio Tarallo, country manager of Gas Natural Fenosa, and Adolfo Mendivil, to celebrate the opening ceremony. Mayor Luciani addressed those present predicting success to this new CNG fueling point, which he considered very necessary for local citizens.

“This will be a complete success, no doubt. Gas Natural Fenosa has relied on the town of Jáuregui and we really needed it. I think this is going to bring more activity to the area. I am very happy because from now on we will be able to enjoy this natural gas fueling site. This is not just for Jáuregui but also to the towns of Olivera, Cortines and Pueblo Nuevo and for the whole area because it is located in a strategic point,” said Luciani, who also informed that this station gathers all fuel service in Jáuregui and now includes compressed natural gas.

Meanwhile, Tarallo said that CNG service is highly developed in Gas Natural Fenosa’s concession area; therefore, the company seeks to settle in places like Jáuregui where the coverage is limited or nonexistent.
